The book 27=9 Enigmografías (27=9 Enigmographies) reflects my passion for cut-outs, a simple yet interesting element that makes the viewer second guess their take on an image, and hopefully find surprise in the revelation of the larger whole. These windows, which I always felt as a sort of "photographic moment", are one more way in which I try to guide the viewer to see what I see, to read the story as I'd like for it to be told.
The first few images here are general shots to show you the flow and movement of the book structure. After that, you can view two consecutive pages with cut-outs, both of which look into the next page where the whole image resides.
About the book structure, in case you're curious: The first cut-out page unfolds to the left, the second cut-out page unfolds up, and reveals the printed image on the third page. All three pages are cut-out / printed on one same sheet of paper, which is then folded twice and sewn as a single section. The book consists of 9 sections, each of which follows the same structure.
